The Fox Hunt App is a mobile app built to support the entire fox hunting community — from participants to hunt hosts and pen owners — by streamlining dog registrations, event scheduling, number reservations, and scoring, all in one simple place.
For Participants: Easily reserve your preferred dog numbers before someone else does, track your upcoming events, ask questions in the community forum, list your dogs or gear on our built in marketplace, private message people and receive notifications about upcoming hunts and new pens near you.
For Hunt Hosts: Avoid hours of phone calls and text messages. We handle all number reservations and you can choose to accept no payments, 25%, 50% or full payments through the app. You can also select any or all of the payment options to give your houndsman some payment options. The app charges a small fee for number reservations to prevent no shows. It will soon have an built in Scoring System to save hours calculating results. Hosts stay in full control and can still accept cash if preferred.
For Pen Owners: Let users schedule AM/PM pleasure runs. The pen owner manually approves them first. Accept payments through the app (or not). You get full visibility into your run calendar while keeping your pen private and secure.

Not at all. It enhances and simplifies the process but still allows in-person payments and manual processes if preferred by the hunt host or pen owner.
Home tab -> Gear icon in top right or tab home tab again -> Stripe Connection -> Connect Stripe Account Button
Hunts tab -> choose your hunt -> pick your dog numbers and complete the checkout.
For Pens that you have never ran at before:
Pens tab -> Request tab -> Choose a Pen -> Request to Run at that Pen -> Wait for the pen owner to approve your request -> once approved, go to Pens tab -> Accepted Tab -> Choose Pen -> Schedule the Pleasure Run
For Pens where you are already approved:
Pens tab -> Accepted Tab -> Choose Pen -> Schedule the Pleasure Run
If the host allows it, you’ll be able to pay in person which is very likely. Using the app will give you a better chance of getting the numbers you want.
To Create Hunt -> hunts tab -> click icon in top right
To Manage Hunt -> Home Page -> Click gear icon in top right or click the home tab again -> My Hunts -> select hunt and edit as needed or view the current registry
Please Note: When creating a hunt event and if the pen is not on the app, you can create a private pen which will get sent to the admin for approval before the hunt goes live in the app. If the hunt event has a public pen listed on the app then the request gets sent to the pen owner for approval. Also, note that if accepting payments through the app, the hunt host must create a stripe account before creating the hunt that accepts payments. Stripe will take roughly 3% of the total. You do not need a stripe account if the hunt is not accepting payments through the app.
Nope. When you create the hunt event, there will be an option to disable payments through the app. If you choose to not accept payments but still list your hunt event on the app, then people will be able to reserve their dog numbers by paying the app a small fee per dog number. This will prevent people from registering a lot of dog numbers and not showing up. Whether you allow payments or not, you’ll need to check the app for the current reserved numbers before handing out numbers outside of the app.
Create a hunt page -> select pen -> choose “Create Private Pen” -> finish creating the hunt -> wait for the admin of the app to approve the hunt/private pen.
Home Page -> Click gear icon in top right or click the home tab again -> My Hunts -> select the registry icon for your hunt (next to the edit button) -> press and hold on the houndsman to delete or click the plus icon in the top right to add a houndsman manually.

To Create Pen -> Pen Tab -> Create Pen by clicking the icon in the top right -> wait for admin of app to approve your pen
